George Dombek is pleased to donate a percentage of the exhibit proceeds to the Art Connection program.

ARKANSAS BARNS AND EARLIER WORK

Argenta Gallery's inaugural exhibition featured the work of acclaimed Arkansas artist George Dombek. Pieces from Dombek's latest series – The Arkansas Barn Project will be on exhibit. His goal was to paint at least one barn from each of the 75 counties in Arkansas and the results are breathtaking as his crisp style, astute use of color and shadows and his unique perspective come together to bring out the beauty and personality of these humble structures.

Examples of Dombek's earlier work were in the show, including some of those featured in the recently published book by University of Arkansas Press. The new book documents the Arkansas artist’s life and work including “Tour de Apple Tree”, a cast bronze sculpture of an apple tree bearing branches and twigs in the form of a bicycle placed along the Crystal Bridges Trail.
